Welcome to the Virginia Chapter of APPA (VAPPA). 

We are a network of facilities management professionals working in a range of educational contexts: university, college, community college, K-12, and vocational-technical.

We represent institutions from all around the Commonwealth, both public and private. We promote APPA’s mission of Leadership in Educational Facilities within Virginia. VAPPA is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. We seek participation at all levels of facilities management.

The VAPPA Future Leaders of Facilities Summit is back – and this year we’re raising the bar. Designed specifically for newly promoted supervisors and front-line employees with leadership in their sights, this three-day event brings together rising FM professionals from across Virginia for expert-led coaching, hands-on workshops, and real peer connections.

This year’s sessions tackle the challenges every new leader faces – managing former peers, building positive culture, and overcoming imposter syndrome – facilitated by certified executive coaches from Positive Professionals.

Membership is Free!

Be a part of VAPPA and join us at our annual conference, and get updates about in-state educational and professional development opportunities. 

VAPPA membership is open and free to all employees of educational institutions in the state of Virginia that are members of APPA or SRAPPA.

If your institution is not part of APPA or SRAPPA you can still participate as an associate member free of charge with access to conferences and other events. Associate members cannot participate in voting or be nominated for board membership.
