Vappa Annual Conference Logo 2026

As we continue to evolve, so do the challenges and opportunities in education facilities. Building on the momentum of last year’s success, we are excited to announce the theme for our 2026 conference:

Future-Proofing Education Facilities: Meeting the Next Decade’s Challenges

Β

On behalf of the Virginia Chapter of APPA, we invite you to join us from March 18–20, 2026, at the beautiful Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. This year’s theme reflects our commitment to preparing both K-12 and higher education facilities for the changes ahead, while creating space for innovative ideas and practical strategies to thrive in an evolving world.

Our conference will feature five tracks designed to challenge, inspire, and equip facilities professionals and vendor partners alike:

  • People in the Age of AI – Emotional intelligence, leadership, and adaptability in a tech-driven workplace

  • Closing the Trades Gap – Apprenticeships, training, and strategies to address workforce shortages

  • Securing the Smart Campus – Cybersecurity, IoT integration, and safeguarding connected infrastructure

  • Tech in Action – BIM, drones, predictive analytics, and other tools reshaping daily operations

  • Innovation at the Edge – Vendors showcasing what’s next for facilities management and campus sustainability

Together, these tracks will guide us in exploring the tools, skills, and mindsets needed to keep our institutions resilient and responsive over the next decade.

Thanks to the energy and engagement of our attendees, sponsors, and keynote speakers, our conferences have become a catalyst for collaboration across Virginia and beyond. This year will be no different. We’re building a program that blends thought leadership with actionable takeaways, ensuring you return to your campus ready to lead change.

Stay tuned for more details on speakers, sessions, and networking opportunities. We look forward to seeing you this spring as we chart the path forward for our campuses and communities.

With warm regards,

Jamie Joyner, President
Adam Moyer, VP for Conference
